FURNITURE

I enjoy creatively giving new form and life to reclaimed materials, supplementing with fresh materials when needed.

I do not consider myself a woodworker or carpenter, but rather someone who tends to choose wood as a medium to make something out of nothing.

INTERIORS

I’ve remodeled several homes and love seeing the potential in forgotten spaces and transforming them into moments that are energizing, peaceful, or whatever mood is called for.

Navigating the process of improving a space can be intimidating and overwhelming. I can help by offering design consultation and guidance on material selection, installation, and subcontractor management.

PHOTOGRAPHY

I do all of my own property and product photography with professional equipment and editing skills specific to showcasing the best of spaces.

I’m happy to capture images for your small business, real estate listings, or vacation rentals.

About

I am Jamie Henkensiefken, a designer and builder (and musician) passionate about creating spaces and functional pieces for everyday living. I was raised in Montana and Wyoming, and my work is driven by the spirit of those places: honesty, simplicity, and making the most of materials that are on hand.

I am from a family of woodworkers, architects, designers, and builders. I’ve studied Furniture Design at the Pratt Institute (NYC) and Interior Architecture via UCLA. The name of my studio, Hank Workshop, is a tribute to my dad who taught me the craft from a young age. While in the Navy, my dad was given the nickname “Hank” as a much shorter alternative to our long last name.

I am always excited to use my foundation and apply it to current design challenges. Please get in touch if you are interested in working together!
